Bright fiesta themed tablescape with beatiful fresh flowers

A SICILIAN SUMMER WITH ANTHROPOLOGIE

We were delighted to be asked by Anthropologie to host a 'live masterclass', creating a summer tablescape, step-by-step for viewers. We loved styling our LAY tableware with some stunning, statement pieces from the iconic brand's homeware collection.

With the English summer in full swing, we wanted to be transported to even warmer, Mediterranean climbs, and set to task creating a table inspired by Sicily.

Inspired by Sicily's famous lemons and the aqua blue of the Med. Anthropologie's murano style glassware, paired perfectly with LAY woven grass mats and blue-rimmed bone china plates.

Blue hemstitched napkins were tied with gingham ribbon bows in alternating yellow and blue, with springs of olive leaves for natural texture.

~

Leaf-shaped place names rested in juicy lemons, with scattered starfish-like ornaments along the table for a beachy touch.

~

Vases of white hydrangeas, cornflower blue nigellas and sunny yellow freesias adorned the table, with our handmade 'Ice Blue' candlesticks nestled amongst them.

To set a party mood for guests sitting at the table, we placed welcoming shot glasses filled with staple Italian aperitivo, limoncello, at each place.

Salute!
